This stunning Micropave Halo ring is a unique adaptation handcrafted in solid platinum, and features cutdown micropave set round diamonds in the double halo and single shank. Each Daniel Prince Bespoke Tanzanite Double Halo Engagement Ring is made to order entirely by hand so it fits the centre gemstone (and finger) perfectly. A framework of fire and brilliance to complement the sumptuous Tanzanite gemstone in the centre makes this an instant classic.
As always, with every client we start with a selection of hand-selected natural gemstones that have been chosen specifically for according to the requirements and overall budget.
For this commission, the client opted for the stone on the right, a beautifully cut 2.29cts natural tanzanite gemstone. Once the order was confirmed we set about making the ring entirely from scratch by hand. Every ring we create is made and set exclusively in London entirely by hand using traditional jewellery-making techniques; this method of manufacturing jewellery is a dying art because it takes the most skill and time, but it yields the highest quality of finish possible (not cad/cast like most jewellers today). This ring was made in solid 950 platinum, but we can make it in 9ct or 18ct gold as well to suit various budgets.
Once the ring is made, the client is invited back to try the ring on for size and to check its comfortable to wear. We can make small alterations at this stage such as altering the size, or changing the profile of the shank (a shank that is curved inside makes it more comfortable to wear). After this stage is where the magic happens, where our highly skilled and experienced diamond setter gets to work, individually setting each and every diamond by hand, using a powerful microscope, the ring undergoes a magical transformation into a work of art of instant heirloom quality.
